Lake Lane Fishing and Hunting Getaway is nestled in the beautiful hills of the Southern Tier in Olean, New York.
Lake Lane is easily accessible to Olean, NY, Pennsylvania, Rochester, Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Hornell, Wellsville,
Salamanca, Jamestown and Ellicottville.
Lake Lane is open to the public for Trout, Bass, Bluegill, and Bullhead fishing. No fishing license is required as we
are a NYS Fishing Preserve and buy the license for you. Fishing is handicap accessible. Lake Lane also offers
hunting of small and big game. A regular NYS hunting license is required. Hunting at Lake Lane is also handicapp
accessible. Our property has been known for many many years as well populated with Whitetail Deer and that is what
you will find. Lake Lane has all the adequate resources for wildlife habitat and this is why it is such a special place!
We are at this time an up and coming all season cabin getaway. Our cabins will be ready in the near future. At this
time we offer primitive self-contained camping with a porta poty and sink available. One special feature of our tent
sites is that they overlook the trout pond through the trees and it is breathtaking. Our bait shop has everything to
offer, fresh live bait, rental poles, hooks, line & refreshments. Anything you do not have we usually have available. A
membership at Lake Lane is more economical. We offer hunting and fishing memberships at very low prices. Fishing
members are also able to particpate in our Trout/Bass monthly fishing tournament fish-offs to compete against each
other for a chance to win a free membership renewal.
Each spring we hold our annual sportshow combined with an adult fishing tournament and free youth fishing
tournament. Many various vendors participate and many, many prizes are awarded. Some other activities that you
can participate in are kayaking on ten different kayaks, BB gun shoots, knive throwing, bow & arrow shoots and
courses, woodcarving, many and various seminars for your information and our annual chicken BBQ. Many ask for
our secret receipe!
Owners Sean and Hannah Maurer opened Lake Lane in late 2008 after realizing how much their property had to offer
people. Many come to picnic and spend special time with their families. Fishing is not always about the catch but the
quality time spent that will create memories that will last a lifetime.
Our fish are freshwater certified fish. You will not find a cleaner healthier fish anywhere! If you enjoy eating fish then
you want to take one home from our ponds.
